Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are delighted to be working exclusively with our Industry Leading Hearing Aid & Accessorises client, Oticon Ltd - Part of the Demant Group Company who are a world-leading hearing healthcare group that offers solutions and services to help people with hearing loss connect and communicate with the world around them. Oticon Ltd are now looking to appoint a Quality Engineer in this newly created role at their Facility in Hamilton. As the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for managing their Quality Management Software System, managing customer complaints, investigating root cause analysis & managing audits. Communication is key in this role and you will have the opportunity to work in various different areas of the business whilst driving continuous improvement at all times.

Responsibilities are but not limited to:
  • Supporting external & internal audits
  • Drive continuous improvement across the business
  • Drive product and process quality investigations determining root cause
  • Drive corrective and preventative action activities throughout all areas i.e. production, logistics, customer service, and sales.
  • Continuing compliance with a variety of regulatory requirements
  • Alert management to adverse quality trends and high cost areas
  • Ensuring compliance & development between the business management system and operations
  • Liaise with customers, as required, on quality, environmental and contract/order matters
  • Control and reporting of non-conforming material/product
  • Control and monitoring of Quality Surveillance program according to instruction
  • Drive the New Product Introduction process
  • Drive supplier/vendor support initiatives e.g. packaging
  • Provide technical support to production in the achievement of quality objectives and control of processes and product

Skills required:
  • An experienced Quality Engineer coming from a Manufacturing background within Medical or Electronics
  • Knowledge & experience in ISO systems such as ISO13485
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experienced managing complaints & driving continuous improvement
  • Experienced in root cause analysis
  • Experienced in auditing
