MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To prepare the food court for business which may include moving and setting up furniture. Also completing daily paperwork in line with our food safety management system, and ensuring all deliveries are correct and complete. To prepare the service area, hot cupboards and other equipment in the Food court and associated areas for the efficient and effective service of the menu. To assist and lead in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages as defined by business needs and general manager. also, to ensure all food is prepared in compliance with the food safety management system. To ensure the food is served according to the style and type of operation as is defined by the executive chef. To ensure correct washing of dishes, cutlery, serving, utensils, containers, tables and all other catering equipment is to a standard that complies with the EHO guidelines and our food safety management system To assist if needed in cleaning daily all catering areas to standards in line with the Food Safety Management System. To undergo on and off the job training sessions as required. To inform the of any defects in light or heavy equipment. To inform the senior management team of any items/issues not meeting Health & Safety and/ or Food Hygiene Regulations Standards. To ensure related duties as required ensuring the food court area and the kitchen is in a clean and hygienic condition and that the food service is effective and efficient.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Basic food hygiene certificate. Previous food preparation experience. Experience in a cooking environment. Basic knowledge of food safety/health and safety. Willingness to undertake training when required. Good rapport with customers. Ability to work as a member of a team. Sensitivity to the needs of colleagues and customers. Must be able to communicate with staff, colleagues and customers. Ability to lift and handle kitchen equipment. A flexible approach to working including out-of-hours.
