We have an opportunity for a care assistant to join our dedicated team of professionals in a challenging but rewarding environment in our nursing home for adults with dementia and mental health issues at Hawthorne House. Main Duties and Responsibilities • To establish and maintain therapeutic relationship with patients, carers, all staff and other stakeholders • To contribute to the optimal delivery of care by assisting other staff in the actual giving of care and to report to a member of the qualified staff any significant changes in the residents condition e.g bruises, rashes and mental state • To assist residents with communication and enable them to manage situation where they might become distressed • To encourage and assist residents to meet their dietary/nutritional needs • To promote and assist the residents to maintain their personal hygiene, cleanliness and appearance • To assist nursing team by providing by providing accurate feedback of residents’ needs/responses In return we can offer you; • Excellent rates of pay • Generous annual leave entitlement • Comprehensive induction training • Ongoing training from our in-house and external training providers • Continued support and fantastic career development opportunities to progress within a forward thinking, modern health care provider.
