Job Description

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Head within our Fitness to Practise (FtP) directorate to lead the team and work collaboratively across the GPhC, as well as lead on business change to deliver an excellent quality regulatory service. This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract opportunity with the possibility of extension. The Head of Professionals Regulation will lead and develop the Professionals Regulation (FtP) team as a high-performing cohesive unit with a focus on service excellence and continuous improvement. The Head will actively contribute to and take responsibility for directorate strategic planning and the formulation of policies as part of the senior management team. You will also contribute to the delivery of strategic objectives and engage colleagues across the GPhC to deliver process and behavioural change to support the FtP strategy. The successful applicant will: Be an experienced people manager with a background of working in a legal environment, and have experience of planning, managing and meeting agreed budgets. Be able to think and act creatively to bring about operational business improvement whilst maintaining quality. Possess excellent communication skills and be able to adopt a variety of styles to influence and persuade others. Have experience of managing the realisation of planned benefits from investment in change and acting as business lead in business change activity.
